Former Whiskeytown founding member Caitlin Cary has teamed-up with her good friend, singer-songwriter Thad Cockrell for a wonderful album of country duets that puts you in mind of the great pairings of the past like Johnny & June, Conway & Loretta, George & Tammy called “Begonias.”
I honestly don’t know what to say about this album. The writing is top-notch, the musicianship is excellent, and the harmonies are fantastic… It’s simultaneously classic & fresh. I can find no fault here. I just love listening to it, which I guess is pretty high praise, huh?
