Lenten Prayer – Week 2

Creighton University has posted a pretty nice resource on their school’s website that Praying Handsprovides daily devotions, readings & prayers for Lent. It is a Catholic school, but even non-Catholics like me can benefit from such a great resource. It almost makes me want to try to build something similar for Methodists because I don’t think most of us take the season seriously enough or regard it with enough reverence… almost.

Check it out HERE.

And here is today’s prayer:

Creator of my Life,
renew me: bring me to new life in you.
Touch me and make me feel whole again.
Help me to see your love
in the passion, death and resurrection of your son.
Help me to observe Lent
in a way that allows me to celebrate that love.
Prepare me for these weeks of Lent
as I feel both deep sorrow for my sins
and your undying love for me.
