123 Book Meme

I was avoiding participating in this meme because I am at work which means that all of the books within reach are work-related. But since Willie called me out by name (thanks buddy), I suppose I will play along;

Here are the rules:

    •  Pick up the nearest book of 123 pages or more. (No cheating!)
    •  Find Page 123.
    •  Find the first 5 sentences.
    •  Post the next 3 sentences.
    •  Tag 5 people.

        Here goes…

        “Unfortunately, however, my client had never done any disaster studies and had no contingency plans. Too bad, too, because on January 17, 1994, at 4:30 a.m. in Northridge, California, a 6.7 magnitude earthquake hit. The quake lasted only 15 seconds, but that was quite enough.”

        Any guesses?

        It’s the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Networking, by Bill Wagner & Chris Negus.

        Kind of a letdown, huh?

        Ok Lindsey, you’re tagged!

        1. Not a letdown at all. Who would have expected those three sentences from that book? That was a fun surprise! Plus, you’ll get tons of hits from people searching for “contingency plans.”
