Five on Friday: What Does It Mean?

In 1979, one of the great philosophical minds of our time posed a poignant question. Kermit the frog asked, “Why are there so many songs about rainbows?” – A deep & thought provoking question still to this day.

I never dreamed the day would come when I could use this picture on my blog... but that day has apparently arrived!

My response is a resounding, “huh?”

Are there really that many songs about rainbows? I mean, outside of that one, the one popularized by Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, the Double Rainbow viral video from last year, and the theme songs for both Rainbow Brite and Reading Rainbow, I had trouble thinking of many. So that has been my quest for the last few days… find five songs to post today about rainbows. Shall we proceed?

And I would be remiss if I didn’t include the song that started the discussion:

Did I mention that the Muppet Show was genius?
